Chinese start $122m Cairns northern beaches apartment venture at Paradise Palms.

CHINESE developers are behind a $122 million residential project of more than 200 apartments at Paradise Palms on the Northern Beaches of Cairns.

Golden Lakes NQ Pty Ltd has already sold 20 residential blocks as part of the venture and plans the start of 212 apartments in July.

The group of investors bought the 15.87ha development parcel of three precincts and approved plans already in place for 150 units and the 20 blocks from receivers to the failed HS Vision development group in July last year.

Company spokesman Robert Xing said the “Golden Lakes/Forrest Mountain dev-elopment” was “Queensland’s largest private development outside of Brisbane/Gold Coast”.
