This month saw the Planning Plus team successfully apply for a number of our marquee projects to be granted 100% headworks discounts from Council Infrastructure Charges. The result was the culmination of countless hours of applications, reports, submissions and discussions with Council. The awarding of the discounts will play a major role in kick-starting construction of these various projects and bringing forward much needed construction jobs in the Cairns area.
In all, this month we saved our various developer clients nearly 10 million dollars in Council fees and charges. We take this opportunity to thank Cairns Regional Council for their forward thinking in driving such an initiative.
